However, many techniques have developed since then, for instance, Follicular Unit Transplantation AKA FUT, Follicular Unit Extraction AKA FUE, and Direct Hair Implementation AKA DHI.

Hair loss problem

Hair loss, in other words, telogen effluvium, is one of the problems that decrease our self-confidence. There can be multiple reasons that lead to hair loss, such as stress, aging, and some diseases can be shown as the main reasons for hair loss. Also, hair loss can be temporary or permanent. To understand better what reasons cause hair loos for you, you should see a dermatologist or a doctor. You can also determine your hair loss problem, whether temporary or permanent, with your doctor.

As a hair transplant method: FUT

Thanks to technological development, many hair transplant methods emerged, like FUE and DHI nowadays. However, the oldest method among hair transplant methods is the Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) method. In the FUT method, you can obtain natural-looking results.

Although FUE and DHI are relatively new techniques, they share the same logic with the FUT method. Surgeons take healthy hair follicles by performing an incision at the back of your scalp in the Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) method. Surgeons separate extracted hair follicles one by one into hair cells and transplant the hair follicles into the bald area.

Differences with the other methods

As we mentioned above, most of the hair transplant techniques are done in similar ways, and there are very small differences between these methods. For example, in the FUE method, surgeons manually incise to transplant extracted hair follicles to the bald area one by one. On the other hand, in the DHI method, surgeons use a pen-like device, and this device performs the incision and transplantation of the hair follicles automatically at the same time.
